Caution: UVB LED is a current-operated device. The slight shift of voltage will cause a big change of current, which may damage the LED. Customers should use resistors in series for Over-Current-Proof.
In order to ensure consistent light-color on multiple LEDs connected in parallel, individual resistors separately are suggested, as Circuit A below shown. If the light-color of each LED shown as Circuit B might be different due to the different I-V characteristics of each LED.
The UVB LED's performance is affected by the ambient temperature. Please keep it away from heat to maintain better performance.
Storage: The recommended storage before unpacking: Temperature: 5℃30℃; Humidity: below 60% RH. Dehumidification should be done before use when it stored for more than 2 months. Conditions 60℃/12 hours. The suggested storage requirement should be a temperature of 530°C, humidity below 30% after opening the package. UVB LED is a component that is sensitive to humidity, which requires to be stored in a sealed container with desiccant or nitrogen moisture-proof cabinet to avoid moisture absorption after unpacking. The moisture-proof level of the UVB LED is MSL3.
The UVB LED component should be used within 168hrs(7 days) after unpacking and should be welded as soon as possible. The component should be dehumidified when it is exposed to the air for more than 168hrs(7days) or when the desiccant expires.
Electrostatic Protection: Due to the sensitivity of the UVB LED to electrostatic, it may perform abnormally after being attacked by electrostatic or overload current, such as excessive leakage current, low VF or unable illumination. Therefore, please take the following precautions:
Wear anti-static wristbands or anti-static gloves when handling the UVB LED.
Grounding protection should be done for all machinery and equipment tools, work tables, material racks, etc. (within 10Ω of grounding impedance).
Use anti-static bags, anti-static boxes, and anti-static turnover boxes for storage or transportation. Never use plastic.
Use an ion fan to suppress electrostatic generation during operation. The voltage of the static field should be less than 100V in a 1-foot radius from the UVB LED component.
Clean: Recommend using isopropyl alcohol or other alcohol solvents rather than corrosive solutions to clean the UVB LED.
