LED is a current-operated device. The slight shift of voltage will cause a big change in current, which can damage the LED. Therefore, the customer should use resistors in series for Over-Current-Proof.
To ensure consistent light-color on multiple LEDs connected in parallel, it is suggested to use individual resistors separately, as shown in Circuit A below. If the light-color of each LED is shown as Circuit B, it might differ due to the different I-V characteristics of each LED.
High ambient temperature can affect the brightness of LED and its properties. Therefore, please keep it away from heat to maintain better performance.
The recommended storage temperature before unpacking is between 5℃30℃, with a humidity below 60% RH. Dehumidification should be done before use when it is stored for more than 2 months under conditions of 60℃/12 hours. The suggested storage requirement after opening the package should be temperature in 530°C, with a humidity below 30%.
LED is a component that is sensitive to humidity and requires storage in a sealed container with desiccant or nitrogen moisture-proof cabinet to avoid moisture absorption after unpacking. The moisture-proof level of LED is MSL3. The component should be used within 168hrs (7 days) after unpacking and welded as soon as possible. Component should be dehumidified when it is exposed to the air for more than 168hrs (7 days) or the desiccant has expired.
UVA LED (especially in InGaN structure) is sensitive to electrostatic, which can damage its structure and cause abnormal performance, such as excessive leakage current, low VF or unable illumination. Therefore, please follow the guidelines below for electrostatic protection:
Wear anti-static wristbands or anti-static gloves when touching the LED.
Grounding protection should be done for all machinery and equipment tools, work tables, material racks, etc. (within 10Ω of grounding impedance).
Use anti-static bags, anti-static boxes, and anti-static turnover boxes for storage or transportation. Avoid using plastic.
It is recommended to use ion fans to suppress electrostatic generation during operation. The voltage of the static field should be less than 100V in a 1-foot radius from the LED component.
It is recommended to use opropanol or other alcohol solvents, rather than corrosive solutions, to clean the UVA LED.
