Caution: PIR motion sensors are a current-operated device. The slight shift of voltage will cause a big change in the current, which may affect the sensitivity and accuracy of the sensor. A stable power supply is recommended, and a voltage regulator can be used for Over-Current-Proof.
PIR motion sensors may have different sensitivities due to their design and the surrounding environment. It is suggested to test the sensor sensitivity and adjust the detection range according to the specific application.
Storage: The recommended storage before unpacking: Temperature: 0℃40℃; Humidity: below 80% RH. The suggested storage requirement should be temperature in 040°C, humidity below 50% after opening the package.
PIR motion sensors are sensitive to humidity, which may affect their performance. It is recommended to store the sensor in a sealed container with a desiccant or nitrogen moisture-proof cabinet to avoid moisture absorption after unpacking.
Electrostatic Protection: Due to the sensitivity of the sensor to electrostatic discharge (ESD), it is suggested to take the following precautions:
Use an anti-static wristband or anti-static gloves when handling the sensor.
Grounding protection should be done for all machinery and equipment tools, work tables, material racks, etc. (within 10Ω of grounding impedance).
Use anti-static bags, anti-static boxes, and anti-static turnover boxes for storage or transportation. Do not use plastic.
It is recommended to use an ion fan to suppress electrostatic generation during operation. The voltage of the static field should be less than 100V in a 1-foot radius from the sensor.
Clean: To clean the PIR motion sensor, use a soft, dry cloth or a brush. Avoid using corrosive solutions or solvents that may damage the sensor's surface or components.
