Caution: LED is a current-operated device. The slight shift of voltage will cause a big change in current, which can damage LEDs. Therefore, customers should use resistors in series for over-current protection.
To ensure consistent light-color on multiple LEDs connected in parallel, an individual resistor for each LED is recommended, as shown in Circuit A. If multiple LEDs are connected using Circuit B, the light-color of each LED may be different due to the different I-V characteristics of each LED.
Too high ambient temperature will affect the brightness and properties of the LED. Therefore, please keep the LED away from heat to ensure optimal performance.
Storage: Before unpacking, it is recommended to store the LED in a temperature range of 5℃30℃ and humidity below 60% RH. Dehumidification should be done before use if stored for more than 2 months, under conditions of 60℃/12 hours. After opening the package, the suggested storage requirements are a temperature of 530°C and humidity below 30%.
LED is a component that is sensitive to humidity, so it should be stored in a sealed container with desiccant or nitrogen moisture-proof cabinet to avoid moisture absorption after unpacking. The moisture-proof level of the LED is MSL3. The component should be used within 168 hours (7 days) after unpacking and welded as soon as possible. The component should be dehumidified when it is exposed to air for more than 168 hours (7 days) or when the desiccant is expired.
Electrostatic Protection: LEDs, especially low-power LEDs, are sensitive to electrostatic discharge that can damage their structure. This can lead to abnormal performance such as excessive leakage current, low VF, or inability to illuminate. To avoid these issues, please follow the precautions below:
Wear an anti-static wristband or anti-static gloves when handling the LED.
Ensure grounding protection for all machinery and equipment tools, work tables, material racks, etc. (within 10Ω of grounding impedance).
Use anti-static bags, anti-static boxes, and anti-static turnover boxes for storage and transportation, and avoid using plastic.
Use an ion fan to suppress electrostatic generation during operation. The voltage of the static field should be less than 100V in a 1-foot radius from the LED component.
Clean: To clean the LED, it is recommended to use isopropyl alcohol or other alcohol solvents rather than corrosive solutions.
